What is a domain name ?

How do I access the control panel ?
  You can access you control panel by entering the following url : www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel. You will then be asked for a username and password. Enter the information we emailed you when we created your account and your all set.

How do I create e-mail accounts ?
  In the Control Panel, go to the mail icon (its the first icon in the list of controls), you will then be given the command list for emails. Choose "Manage/Add/Remove Accounts", then on the new window click "add account" and enter the email's password.

How do I setup auto-forwarding for my email ?
  In the Mail Manager, click "forwarders" then "add forwarders".

How do I setup my e-mail on outlook Express ?
 

Go to the Tools menu and select "Accounts..." A new window will open up.
Click on the Add button, then select "Mail..." Another new window will open.
Enter the following information:
E-mail Address: username@domainname.com
Click on the Next button and enter the following information:
  • My incoming mail server is a: POP3 :server
• Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: mail.yourdomainname.com
• Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.yourdomainname.com
Click on the Next button and enter the following information:
  • Account name: username%domainname.com
• Password: Enter the password for the e-mail address.
Click on the Next button.
Click on the Finish button. The window will close.
On the previously opened window, select the account you just created.
Click on the Properties... button. A new window will open up.
Click on the Servers tab.
Enter the following information:
  • REGULAR CONNECTION
• Check the box next to "My server requires authentication".
• Click on the OK button. .

Click on the OK button.

How do I access the webmail ?
  go to www.yourdomainname.com/webmail, enter the full email address with the password. you will then be asked to choose between squirrel mail and horde. Pick the mail panel that suits you best.

How do I upload via ftp ?
  In the Internet browser, set the URL to ftp://username@ftp.yourdomainname.com/
You can also have the option of uploading your files in the file manager, just click upload.
MOST RECOMMENDED : download an FTP client (ex: smartftp.com), and enter the same username and password for the control panel. You will then be given access to an explorer like file manager.

How do I create my own website using rvsitebuilder ?
  Go to the bottom of the control panel, the rvsitebuilder button should be at the lower right. Press it and follow the step by step instructions of the website builder. Once you get the hang of it, you can always go back and re-edit your website to your liking. It is very easy to use.

How do I access the online Hosting-plymouth Gallery ?
  Go to Hosting-plymouthglobal.com/album, you will then have the option to sign up for free. Please use an official email address of any Hosting-plymouth hosted website when signing up, so that we can approve of you immediately. NOTE: You can only view the pages in the gallery if you are a member.

How do I change File Permission ?
 
You can change file permissions online thru the online file manager on the control panel, click on the file and you should see the options on the right side of the file manager. Permissions are avaialable their as well. NOTE: Some FTP client softwares also offers the option of changing permissions.
